Child abuse & neglect reporting

Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 13-3620

The people specified in this section must immediately report a reasonable belief of covered abuse or neglect. If the suspected person has no care, custody, or control of the child, the statute directs the report to a peace officer. Reporting only to a school resource officer does not satisfy this law.
