Do I need to pay to get the newsletter?

The short weekly summary is free. The planned longer, detailed edition is included with an active $9.99/month membership. Both editions include official missing-child and sex-offender registry links. Email delivery is being prepared; safety guides remain freely available now.

What does the detailed edition add?

The detailed edition adds context, who is affected, bill status and deadlines, public office contacts, and practical parent steps. Both versions follow local → your state → U.S. → world. Coverage focuses on child protection, trafficking prevention, online safety, AI, and related changes. Monthly support also sustains the free summary and public resources.

Will you spam me or sell my information?

No spam. We never sell your information. Your email and newsletter ZIP code are used only for this newsletter and essential subscription messages. Brief invitations to support the work stay inside the newsletter. We do not add you to separate marketing lists. Read our newsletter privacy details.

Can I contribute without receiving emails?

Yes. Choose “No weekly emails” if the checkout asks for a newsletter preference. Billing receipts are separate. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Stopping newsletter emails does not cancel a monthly payment, and canceling support does not remove your newsletter preference. Once your paid access ends, you receive the free summary if still subscribed. Use the same email for newsletter signup and Stripe checkout. To add or change your newsletter state or ZIP code, submit the free signup form again with the same email.

Is this a tax-deductible donation?

No. Safer Not Scared is operated by Safer Not Scared LLC, a private company, not a tax-exempt charity. Contributions are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

How do payments and cancellations work?

Stripe handles checkout. Monthly support renews at $9.99 USD until you cancel. Use Manage my membership with your checkout email to cancel before your next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund past payments.
