  1. Find Family Center

Open Snapchat’s official Family Center guide below and follow the in-app setup instructions.

  2. Send the invitation

Connect with your teen through Family Center. The teen needs to accept the invitation.

  3. Review what is visible

Look at friends and recent communication activity together. Family Center does not reveal private message contents.

  4. Have a privacy check-in

Together, review who can contact your teen and their location-sharing choices. Agree on when to come to you for help.

Know what the controls cover

Family Center provides oversight, not a complete record of what happens. Keep the conversation open between check-ins.
