Build your family plan
Combine your learning into a plan that can be revisited.
Academy overviewUnderstand
A useful plan identifies people, habits, and next steps. It should support learning and connection while making help easy to find. This original capstone brings together the activities from the preceding lessons.
Common Sense: additional family resources
What to watch for
A long list of rules may leave everyone unsure what to do in a difficult moment. Check whether your plan includes a way to ask for help after a mistake and a way to change rules as needs change.
What to do
Choose three actions: one account review, one conversation, and one positive AI activity. Assign an adult to each next step. Keep a private list of appropriate help contacts and choose a date to review the plan together.
What to avoid
Do not use a completion badge as proof that a child is safe, a caregiver is qualified to investigate abuse, or a school has met legal training duties.
Talk about it
“This plan is something we practice and improve together.”
Practice
Write your one-page plan using the family-plan guide. Explain the three actions to another adult. Leave out passwords, intimate material, and private health details.
